Today is the first anniversary of Michael Jackson’s tragic passing, and even though a year has passed I still cannot believe he’s gone. The best that ever did it. Rest In Peace MJ.

UK MUSIC: IDRIS ELBA – ‘HOLD ON’

British actor Idris Elba has been out there promoting his musical endeavours for sometime now, but this is the first time I’ve actually bothered to listen to one of his tracks, and I’m now wishing I hadn’t bothered clicking on the play button. Idris should stick to what he is good at  – ACTING!!! I am guessing that he  surrounds himself with a bunch of sycophant ‘yes men” because Hold On is hilariously bad. And can somebody please tell me when Idris []

VIDEO: DRAKE PERFORMS ‘FIND YOUR LOVE’ ON THE JAY LENO SHOW

Check out singer/rapper Drake’s live performance on The Jay Leno Show. Studio technology really does do a fantastic job of fooling people. This live performance is proof that ‘golden boy’ Drake is OVER-RATED. His live vocals are appalling. Flat and out of tune. He is probably a really nice guy but that was piss poor! To the UK fans who have purchased tickets to see Drake perform live in London next month….. have fun! [Thanks Kaydine]

The MOBO (Music Of Black Origin) Awards will soon be upon us (yippee!) and this year the ceremony will take place in Liverpool on the 20th October. Will the ‘safe’ Sean Paul take home the Best Reggae Artist Award AGAIN???  Will Justin Bieber win the Best International Male Artist award??? Will LADY GAGA win the Best International Female Artist award??? ( Note: she was nominated last year) Or will they just hand those awards over to the usual suspects… brand Beyonce and Lucifer?  Anyway, Mobo founder Kanya King was recently interviewed with singer Leona Lewis, and  is behaving like she popped a few happy pills beforehand (seriously []

UK MUSIC SCENE ANTICS: LETHAL B RESPONDS TO N-DUBZ DOCUMENTARY

[Thanks Yinka] On Monday night Channel 4 aired the first episode of N-Dubz’s new documentary Being.. N-Dubz. Rapper Lethal B who claims the group stole a track from him, was featured on the documentary arguing with group member Dappy at a ‘celebrity’ football match. Lethal, who we must remember is a GROWN MAN, has now taken it upon himself to set the record straight about the incident and gives Grime Daily “the real story”. *HUGE SIGH* Beyond juvenile. EMBARRASSING. This is just []

UK MUSIC: SO SOLID STAR MEGA MAN DISSECTS THE UK “URBAN” MUSIC SCENE

So Solid star Mega Man sat down and shared his views on today’s UK “Urban” music scene and it’s artists. Via Brown Eyez Mega made some pretty good points. And I will always respect what So Solid achieved all those years ago. I’m only sorry it didn’t last. However is the track playing in the background going to be Mega’s new single? If so then… NO COMMENT!
