This report from the Jamaica Gleaner has left me FUMING on this wet grey afternoon. First king puppet and MUG Ashley Cole swans in to Westminster Magistrates’ Court and defends John Terry and now this. Former Chelsea player Salomon Kalou and Ryan Bertrand both defended footballer John Terry in court yesterday by submitting glowing character references. It was widely reported on Monday that Ashley Cole wouldn’t be called to give evidence. But look what the cat dragged in to Westminster Magistrates’ court earlier today. Cole appeared in court today to defend his team mate John Terry who is charged with allegedly calling QPR player Anton Ferdinand “a f**king black c**t” during a match in October 2011. Former US sprinter and Olympic gold winner Tommie Smith has made it in to the history books but not for once being one of the fastest men on earth. Smith is famous for taking a historic stand for human rights at the 1968 Olympics alongside fellow US sprinter John Carlos. Both men later went on to pay a heavy price for throwing up the ‘Black Power salute’ in silent protest on the podium after accepting their Gold and Bronze medals. Via BBC News A man has been arrested after running naked across the front of the torch convoy as it travelling through Henley. The streaker had “Free Tibet” written on his back and ran a short distance past crowds waiting to see the torch relay beside the River Thames. The former boyfriend of N-Dubz star/X-Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos’ has admitted to leaking a sex-tape featuring the couple. Earlier this year at a hearing the rapper MC Ultra (Justin Edwards) denied being behind the ‘leakage’.
