Musician Goldie has joined the campaign to ban destructive deep-sea trawling. On December 10, the European Parliament will vote on a raft of new regulations on deep-sea fishing. Campaigners say deep-sea trawling is wiping out ecosystems the size of Paris every day, and want the EU to ban deep-sea trawling in its waters, and see the debate as a chance to save threatened ecosystems from collapse. Via London 24 A young woman was knocked unconscious during a violent attack by five men on a bus in London Bridge. Global Radio has launched a new television commercial promoting Capital XTRA (formally Choice FM), using the slogan ‘Find It First’. I wonder who they drafted in to do the voice over. BBC News reports that actor Paul Walker (40) died yesterday afternoon in a car crash in California. The Fast & Furious star was a passenger in a Porsche sports car driven by a friend – who also died – when it crashed north of Los Angeles. Walker was said to be attending a charity event at the time. … This is really sad and shocking news to wake up to. Rest In Peace Paul Walker.

Venus vs Mars star Aaron Fontaine announced to today that he has landed a role in the hit Channel 4 drama Hollyoaks. Aaron will reprise the role of Sonny Valentine, previously played by actor Devon Anderson, who also played Billy Jackson in Eastenders. … He sure is pretty and his face/look suits Hollyoaks.
