It has been announced that award winning saxophonist and composer YolanDa Brown will host a new music show called ‘YolanDa’s Band Jam’, on the BBC children’s network CBeebies. 

Filmed at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester, YolanDa will guide a studio of 5-7 year olds through tempo, rhythm and other musical disciplines in an inspirational show full of surprises and amazing guests. YolanDa and composer Andrew Kingslow (Rastamouse, Apple Tree House) will be joined by a range of special guests including top singer/guitarist Newton Faulkner and hit country duo The Shires to excite young children about the possibilities of music.

YolanDa has worked with musicians such as Jools Holland, Grammy Award-winners Morgan Heritage, Lemar, Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child, Julian Marley, Shingai Shoniwa of the Noisettes, The Floacist, Mica Paris, Omar Lye-Fook, Wretch 32 Sonny Bradshaw, Otis Williams and The Temptations.
