It has been an interesting couple of weeks for Chelsea FC star Ashley Cole.

First he rocked up to Westminster Magistrates’ Court to defend his team mate, “good friend”, master and nasty piece of work John Terry.

Then he was called every name under the sun including a “sell out”, “fassy” and a “choc ice”.

The mainstream media who up until this point hated Cole because he cheated on his former wife Cheryl Tweedy  (“nation’s sweetheart” and the convicted batterer of Sophie Amogbokpa  ) then suddenly LEAPED to his defence.

And now he has officially joined Twitter.

I wonder who or what convinced old shoe shine to sign up.
