2. I get what he meant, but it can be misinterpreted. He’s not dismissing being black, but wants the focus to be on his talent – not his skin colour.

4. Wow. Idris looks kind of ragged in that pic. I hope he is going to age well. As for the comment, take it with a grain of salt. He probably gets asked that a lot.

6. Yes he wants to be called a good actor…and i get that as well. But he will only be called a good Black actor so accept that! Even though i do understand what he is saying…it still hit me in the stomach. Just that statement alone… I don’t know.. But if he ever thinks he is going to be seen as just a good actor he is fooling himself. There has been many before him who has done a much better job than he does! Still just a good BLACK ACTOR!! But i will say this he needs to make sure he chose his words carefully… I know all too well how Black people are over here…. As much as i love them…they sometimes jump on issues that doesn’t need to be jumped on…. But why not talk about Black??

I agree with you Moreno this is something that only seems to happen with black people, to be honest it’s unbelieveable that black people accept this, it’s like they’re ashamed of being black, white people done slavery for 400 years and make black people guilty for mentioning it, it’s the same with any black issues all you ever hear is get on with it take it on the chin, so black people keep quiet because they don’t want to lose roles, it’s funny because you never see Jews doing this or any other minority for that matter
