Actor Ashley Walters has revealed to The Telegraph that he has co-written a script with fellow actor and director Noel Clarke.
Walters describes it as being,
A UK version of Bad Boys. We’re playing cops, we’re trying to make police glamorous over here, trying to give an advert to the Met.”
Well this should be interesting. With a decent storyline and a talented fresh supporting cast of actor/actresses (not the same old faces) this could be a success.
I hope they manage to get the project off the ground.

This would really be great! I mean Black people can do anyrthing as long as they work together and trust one another. Good luck
I’m curious to see what they come up with, good luck to ’em. O/T but Ashley looks very handsome in that pic you’ve used btw..
Not sure it would be as believable as two black detectives in Miami but Noel Clarke seems to know what he’s doing. I hope this project works out. Be nice to see two UK black men on the right side of the law for a change in a movie!
Here they go again 15 years too late, trying to replicate/reference brand new projects with old films. Anuvahood with Friday, now this Untitled project with Bad Boys. As a Michael Bay, Will Smith and Bad Boys fan pick your comparisons wisely. When you tell us “x film is a UK version of y film”, we’re expecting something pretty decent. I’ll think it’ll be more like a feature film version of The Bill, they’re reaching with Bad Boys
@London Diva- agreed. Black Britain seems to find it hard to define themselves in popular culture… It always seems to be a carbon copy of the US…
I hope it turns out good, I’ll be rooting for them
To me i could careless if they copy us over here in the US. As long as they do something good for the Black people over there i’m all for it. I think if they will employ many Blacks in this film then i’m for it…support it. You may be pleasantly surprised!! You have to start somewhere….you have to find the nitch that will work. If this is successful it could mean great things for other Black actors. Well that is if they don’t water it down with a lot of white actors.
Why can’t they come up with an original script Bad Boys has been there and done that…What does that mean a UK version???
