QUOTES OF THE DAY: JESSIE J

It’s put everything in perspective. I have a different respect now for people who don’t have legs.

[Thanks Blockett]

Singer Jessie J tells Q Magazine that after breaking her ankle during a performance and having to hobble around wearing a cast, that she now understands the struggles people face who have no legs.

She then goes on to question her role with her fans.

People think you go to a special hospital, get special casts and treatment. It’s a lie – I’m the same as anyone else. And that was a moment when I had a proper good cry. Just after I broke my foot, I was in my living room and I put on Beyoncé’s ‘Save The Hero’, like, ‘If I’m not around, who saves the hero?'” And it made me realise, like, I need someone now. You give so much as an artist, you give, you give, you give.

* rubbing temples and shaking my head* – For goodness sake! Listen to yourself woman.

  1. I never had to hear about or see a broken ankle as much as hers, it never ends! It feels like it’s been broken for about 5 years!!

  2. ‘you give so much as an artist, you give you give you give…..’ like you don’t take anything back. Unless ofcourse your music is free.

As for the rest, when you know you are going to recover and walk again, it can’t possibly be the same as knowing there’s no chance of it happening at all.
