Kate Thornton
First she was axed from hosting The X-Factor and now Kate Thornton has been axed from co-hosting Loose Women.
I think Kate is a pretty good host so I don’t quite understand why TV executives feel the need to replace her.

ITV daytime show Loose Women has sacked two presenters in an attempt to shore up a dramatic slump in ratings.
Former X Factor host Kate Thornton, who joined the show in 2009 as a co-anchor, and Zoe Tyler, a regular panellist for four years, will not return after the programme’s summer break.
An ITV spokeswoman said: ‘Kate and Zoe have been fantastic Loose Women. We’ve really enjoyed working with them and look forward to working with them again in the future.’ Continue Reading…
ITV you are full of it – Hahaha! If Kate and Zoe have been “fantastic Loose Women” then why have you decided to fire them???
And I wonder why the ratings have slumped so dramatically.

Why axe Kate Thornton and not anthea whom I think is absolute rubbish. Kate is one of the reasons I watch loose women.
I would get rid of all of them the show is boring and hasnt really been that good for a few years now each year they grasp at straws with daft little side games and the same old same old! Turn over to BBC
Heather I actually agree with you Andrea was a better weather ‘girl’ every now and again.
Sacking Kate Thornton from Loose Women is the biggest mistake since ITV axed the great sucessful team of GMTV. Do these people never learn or perhaps they are not experienced enough. The wrong people are a position to make these crazy decisions.
I hope Kate gets snapped up by some other show and goes on to do better things.

I can’t believe that Andrea McLean has been kept on as a Loose Woman presenter – Kate was far better, more relaxed and funny. Andrea always looks like she is reading from the autocue.
Since Janet Street Porter started on the programme, it has really gone down. She listens to no-one and just likes her own voice – and what a voice!
