Jermain Defoe with mother Sandra St Helen
Late last year I posted the news that footballer Jermain Defoe and his mother Sandra St Helen planned to build a nightclub in the basement of a plush Essex mansion, a long with a cards room, an underground swimming pool, giant hot tub and hair salon.
Well today the Evening Standard reported that Jermain ‘has won the right to build a customised £4.5 million Essex “palace” – complete with its own nightclub – despite fierce opposition from his new neighbours.
Planners have passed a scheme to demolish the neo-Georgian manor which now stands on the Chigwell site and build the new property, which will have a hair salon, an underground swimming pool and a giant outdoor hot tub’. Continue Reading….

Why would you build a nightclub in your home? Is it also going to be open to the public or just his family and team mates?
And will the hair salon be open to the public?
Jermain has more money than sense. I look at him and all I see is a rich, lost, confused dimwit of a man.
I just hope for his sake he has enough money to live on after he hangs up his football boots.

Hahahaha! I doubt Jermain even knows what the ACLT is. He doesn’t strike me as the type that pays much attention to important issues affecting the black community.
I remember reading about him paying for £100k for a kitchen refit ordered by his latest bimbo girlfriend who didnt cook! He’s an arsehole,and his mother is just as bad for encouraging this foolishness. Did anyone esle she his mother on a property programme with a different bimbo girlfriend buying a house in st lucia? I wonder if they even gave £10 to the ACLT KMT
@Melissa – You’re confusing Jermaine’s mother for somebody else. That was THAT footballer’s (whose name I can’t remember) mother, who went house hunting in LA with his ‘video chick/model’ fiancee, not Jermaine’s Mum LOL
@melissadelicious @VexintheCity I think your both getting mixed up with the property show where Jermaine’s bimbo girlfriend and HER mum went house hunting on some property show in the Mediterranean for a mansion that HE was going to buy (without seeing it presumably) – complete with a room for her mother. They must have thought they hit the jackpot. Not long after that he dumped her for some next bimbo.

I remember watching that . He barely spoke. I remember the mother and girlfriend did all the talking and he just sat there looking like a blasted idiot.
