UK NEWS: SUPPORT BANG RADIO 103.6 FM – CALL, VOTE, CHANGE A LIFE WITH £50,000

BANG 103.6FM has been shortlisted for a £50,000 grant from the Big Lottery. This funding will allow us to launch BANG Talent which will offer young people in Brent the opportunity to join a music-making project to develop their skills and abilities and celebrate their talents. The project will include workshops, courses, free studio time and live showcases. A TV feature on BANG Talent will be shown on ITV’s London Tonight on WEDNESDAY 24th NOVEMBER between 6-6.30pm and all our supporters will need to call on the night and vote for us []

UK MUSIC: CHIPMUNK – FLYING HIGH

Rapper Chipmunk has been raving about his new single Flying High for the past week now.  So does it lived up to the hype? Well like with most mainstream UK “urban” music these days… no not really. But to be fair the production isn’t bad. The video – another UK emcee going out of his way to honour Jay-Z by mimicking his mannerisms and choice of clothing.  Then we have the African theme running through the video which doesn’t connect to the track. []

UK MUSIC NEWS: JAY-Z CO-SIGNS X-FACTOR’S CHER LLOYD

MTV UK reports that Jay-Z has given X-Factor contestant Cher Lloyd the thumbs up, for her irritating renditions of his hit singles Hard Knock Life and Empire State Of Mind. Click HERE and HERE watch.
