The manager of Reggae artist Mavado has revealed that singer/rapper Drake has donated (US) $25,000 (JA$2.15 million) to help Mavado build a Learning Centre in his hometown, Cassava Piece (Kingston). Click HERE to read more.
[Thanks Marvin]
This Learning Centre will be a positive thing for the community IF Mavado sticks to the plan and ensures it’s built. If not then that’s Drake’s $25k gone down the drain or worse .. into somebody elses pockets.

Pleese ! that’s how much he spends on a night out on drinks. 13.000 Sterlings ?tsssk!
Hopefully the money will go where it’s intended.
It’s good to see other ppl outside of JA helping out cuz God know JA needs it bad bad bad bad. And for Lechatnoir, at least he did something cuz he don’t have to do anthing!!! The man is from Toronto, but he has ties to JA. His 1st job was at a JA’n music store and he grew up around the music and culture. I love to see ppl helping out, and hopefully Mavado will be able to fulfil his dream.
Those are his ties to Jamaica.. working in a music store etc.. wow strong ties.
