Brixton based rock band The Thirst has received an apology from the police force after a CCTV operator falsely informed them that the men had a handgun in their car.

A police force has apologised after 30 armed officers in a fleet of vehicles and a helicopter swooped on innocent band members as they prepared for a gig.
Staffordshire Police held four members of The Thirst at gunpoint, along with their manager and a friend – after a council CCTV operator falsely informed the force that the men had a handgun in their car.
Closer examination of the security footage showed the band – who have supported the Rolling Stones and the Sex Pistols – simply unloading their instruments and equipment and using jump leads to start one of their cars. Continue Reading….

It wouldn’t surprise me if the CCTV operator just called the police out of sheer wickedness, secretly hoping that those innocent men would be blasted to death.

The CCTV operator “saw” what they expected to see – guns in the hands of young Black men.
WELL IF THATS WHAT GETS THEM EXPOSURE THEN FAIR ENOUGH… THE DESERVE TO MENTIONED MORE I THINK .. THERE REALLY GOOOD!
They would have got even more exposure had they been shot.
This is unbelievable, maybe next time the CCTV operator will think before calling in the police on an operation that would have cost thousands of tax payers money. That’s if he didn’t get fired.
