Footballer Ashley Cole with singer wife Cheryl Cole
Chelsea and England footballer Ashley Cole was arrested early today after apparently having a ‘drunken confrontation’ with police, it has been reported.
The husband of Girls Aloud singer Cheryl is alleged to have sworn at officers as he left the Collection nightclub in west London.
Cole, 28, who is said to earn £82,000 a week, apparently refused to tone down his language.
He was taken to a central London police station and issued a fixed penalty notice for being drunk and disorderly before being released shortly after 5.30am.
