The Ministry of Justice is considering relaxing the bail conditions for Jade Goody’s fiance Jack Tweed, ahead of their wedding this weekend.
It has emerged that reality TV star Goody, who has terminal cancer, may have to spend her wedding night alone because of his bail conditions.
Tweed is on curfew after being convicted of assault last year.
Justice Secretary Jack Straw said he had great sympathy for Goody who was facing her illness with courage.
The 27-year-old was diagnosed with cervical cancer while appearing on the Indian version of Big Brother in 2008. After undergoing chemotherapy and several surgical procedures, she was told in January that the disease had spread to her bowel, liver and groin. Continue Reading…..
UPDATE – Tweed’s bail conditions have now been lifted by the Ministry of Defence.
Those of you who are not familiar with Jade Goody may be wondering why I’ve been posting news updates on the reality TV star (Google her). Those of you who are familiar with Jade and have followed her meteoric rise to the top, and her subsequent down fall will know why……..
Since announcing that Jade only has months to live the British media and Jade’s publicist Max Clifford have all gone in to overdrive. Jade’s photograph can be seen on the front of nearly every newspaper most days and there is a sea of public sympathy washing over her.
You also now have This Morning host Eamonn Holmes calling for Tweed’s bail conditions to be relaxed (live on air) for Sunday’s wedding and now politicians are getting involved…..
But 2 years ago it was a completely different story thanks to the Shilpa Shetty episode.
This is a really sad and heartbreaking situation and I feel for Jade’s children. But I have a question to ask….
Would Jack Straw/The Ministry of Defence change the rules if Tweed and Goody were “average everyday citizens” going through the same sad experience???
Something tells me that this would not happen! The situation wouldn’t even be on Jack Straw’s radar!

and that question brings me to my current feelings of……
.
One rule for them and another set for us.
I was just watching ITN News. People are questioning the Ministry’s decision.
Oh and apparently Jade is now world news. From the US to India.
I only feel for the children that they will lose a mother. Everyone is cursing and jumping on the band wagon to condemn CB for hitting RIRi and this man who assaulted someone else is being given a chance to get bail and get married. Please, give me a break.
give me a kit kat!! break!!
I am on a diet. LOL
I do feel for Jade, but I hate double standards!… guess I’m torn!
I WONDER WHAT NEWS WERE MISSING BECAUSE OF THIS …BUSINESS!!!
STOP judging her. Critics are jealous of the money she is generating, but it is just a dying mother doing everything that she can to ensure the quality and security if her childrens’ future. I feel deeply for everybody involved. And if Jack goes to prison, well, that is his punishment- but he should not be punished by being deprived of being by his wifes’ side as she dies. ANYBODY in these circumstances would tell a heart breaking story, famous or not. For God’s sake everyone, let her do her best for her children, and stop being so damn spiteful. Before you start feeling bitter and making judgemental statements, take a few moments, think carefully and deeply, and ask yourself this- how would you feel if you, or a member of your family, were in Jade or Jacks’ position?
Yeah thats it.. jealously!

How do you think we would feel???
