The Evening Standard reports that Nelson Mandela is expected to be represented by one of his daughters at Margaret Thatcher’s funeral on Wednesday. Former South African leader F W de Klerk will also be in attendance.
I am sorry but I’m about to take it there…
Thatcher supported South Africa’s evil apartheid regime and called Nelson Mandela a “terrorist”, so I am surprised to read that a member from the Mandela family will actually be in attendance. Apart from Winnie I guess they all have short memories.
Rest In Peace Margaret Thatcher.

Silencing big ben is an insult to the people who had to suffer this womans rule. Disgraceful
Has no one told his daughter, what Thatcher referred to her father and the ANC as? How quick we forget!
I don’t think the daughter, Family or ANC have forgot, only Nelson Mandela and the people close to him and Margret Thatcher will know what conversations & meetings they had with each other after she publicly said what she said.
I suspect remaining members of ANC and other family members of Nelson Mandela have had to attend functions, shake hands and smile with people who in the past have opposed the movement or worse been involved with the murder of many South Africans.
Mandela seems to stand for unity. Winnie herself has attacked him and desmond tutu for this stand. I guess he is doing the same here.
Obama has bigger fish to fry, so he will not attend. I watched the daughter of Margret Thatcher referencing his message of condolence the other day and to her it sounded like the best thing since sliced bread.
Winnie’s blood must be boiling at this minute.
