UK NEWS: PEOPLE TAKE TO THE STREETS TO CELEBRATE MARGARET THATCHER’S DEATH

After it was announced yesterday that former prime minister Baroness Margaret Thatcher had died her critics took to the streets in celebration across the country.  In Brixton, Glasgow and Leeds people opened champagne and cheered, shouting: “Maggie, Maggie, Maggie, dead, dead, dead”. The celebrations continued in to the early hours of this morning and police struggled to disperse the crowds that gathered. (Interestingly enough I did not see any black people celebrating Thatcher’s death outside The Ritzy in Brixton). INTERESTING TRACK OF THE DAY: ‘ACCIDENTAL RACIST’ ( BRAD PAISLEY FT LL COOL J)

Check out country singer Brad Paisley’s rather bizarre duet with Hip Hop pioneer LL Cool J. Brad tackles the subject matter of racism in the deep south ( where he is from) and defends his right to wear a T-Shirt with the Confederate flag on it, and LL then jumps in and raps about gold chains and doo-rags.
