DAMON DASH BLAMES HIS PAST FINANCIAL WOES ON THE RECESSION

Via Tale Tela Damon Dash blames the recession for his financial issues, according to YRB. Dash has said that because he is famous, his business was thrown open to the public and he believes his money problems were unfairly scrutinised in the press following the sale of his shares in Roc-A-Fella Records and Rocawear clothing. He said to YRB:  “I started to go through a lot of bad press all of a sudden. Like, the recession hit everybody, but me being a []

MORE POINTLESS RAP “BEEF”: RAPPER BEANIE SIGEL BLAMES OTHERS FOR HIS PAST FAILINGS/ JAY-Z AND DAMON DASH RESPOND

For those who have missed out on this tedious piece of “rap beef”, former Roc-A-Fella Records artist Beanie Sigel (who is about to drop an album) called in to a radio station last week and ranted about Jay-Z deserting him, not visiting him while he was incarcerated and then accused Damon Dash of embezzling money.  Click here to listen to the full interview. Then Jay- Z responded to Beanie’s accusations during a press conference in Canada. Click here to watch. And now Damon Dash has responded. Watch below. Dame’s rambled response []

‘THIS IS JIM JONES’ DOCUMENTARY PREVIEW – JAY-Z VS DAMON DASH

Interesting……… Poor old Brukkers Dash. He still hasn’t gotten over the Roc-A-Fella split. And look at former Roc-A-Fella part owner Kareem ‘Biggs’ Burke [mark: 2.49].  When they were riding high on a crest of a wave he refused to speak/grant interviews.  But since being shoved in to obscurity he has suddenly found his voice. I had the misfortune of meeting Kareem once. WHAT a dick head! The man behaved and walked around as if his s**t didn’t stink! Anyway,  Dash is the ‘brains’ behind this documentary. But from what I hear it isn’t really about []

DAMON DASH BLAMES MONEY WOES ON BEING GENEROUS

Damon ‘Bruk Pocket’ Dash has revealed to Billboard.com that blames his financial downfall on being overly generous. Brukkers says,  “My mistake was watching everyone else’s careers and not watching mine. After being able to settle my wife’s company, I was able to start doing other things. My first approach was the music business and getting with Jim Jones… I spent the last six months doing research, trying to figure out how to use all my resources to blow this out (make his album []

THROWBACK SCENE OF THE DAY: DAMON DASH BLASTS FORMER PRESIDENT OF DEF JAM RECORDS KEVIN LILES (‘BACKSTAGE – THE HARD KNOCK LIFE TOUR DVD)

‘Backstage: The Hard Knock Life Tour’ chronicled Jay-Z’s 1999 ‘Hard Knock Life’ tour, which was the highest grossing Hip Hop tour to date during that period of time. The documentary also included footage of DMX, Ja Rule, Irv Gotti, Method Man and Red Man and a behind the scenes look at what went in to organising the tour. One of my favourite scenes from the documentary involves ole Bruk Pocket (Damon Dash) and the then President of Def Jam Records Kevin Liles. Bruk Pocket rants []

VIDEO: DAMON DASH TALKS ABOUT THE FUTURE

In this interview Bruk Pocket talks about what we should all expect from him in the future…. Dame looks mash up and he keeps sniffing. Is that because he has a cold or is there something else going on here? I don’t think his future projects will be as successful as he hopes they will be . Dame rubbed far too many people up the wrong way during his mogul heyday, and he is now paying the price professionally.   But then again…. you never know, he might be able to claw himself back []

QUOTE OF THE DAY: DAMON DASH

“I wouldn’t blame David if he was jealous. I was hanging out with his beautiful wife all the time. I think he thought there was something going on between the two of us. I know they had a conversation about it. ‘Everyone knew we were just friends. But who can blame him? I’m a fly guy!” (Damon ‘ bruk pocket’ Dash talks about his past business relationship with Victoria Beckham (when he attempted to reinvent her as the next big R&B star), and implies that []

Memphis Bleek recently spoke to HipHopGame.TV and defended his decision to appear in a commericial for Garnier’s Fructis Flow Shampoo.
