Last month it was reported that there were plans to protest and march against the controversial Choice FM (now Capital Xtra) “rebrand” and the decision to rid the station of its Reggae, Soca and Gospel programming. Hundreds of people marched in Birmingham this past weekend to show their support for the grieving family of Kingsley Burrell and many other young men who have died in police custody or after coming into contact with them. Click HERE to read more about the march. Rest In Peace Kingsley Burrell.

Reggae star Smiley Culture (real name David Emmanuel) died during a poilce raid inside his home in March, and the Metropolitan Police still haven’t released much information regarding his death. They however would like the public to believe their story that David stabbed himself to death while making a cup of tea during the raid.
