USAIN BOLT SHATTERS 100 METRE WORLD RECORD IN 9.58 SECONDS

Usain Bolt of Jamaica shattered his own world record in the 100 meters dash on Sunday with a time of 9.58 seconds at the World Championships in Berlin. Bolt’s record was 11 tenths of a second faster than his previous world record of 9.69 seconds, which he set at last year’s Beijing Olympics.   I am finally going on holiday (my last trip away was in 2006) and will be flying out to Jamaica on April 20th.   Pray for me folks I HATE flying but I look forward to seeing the fam and a change of scenery and climate.   England you are seriously dragging me down! REGGAE SINGER LUCIANO CHARGED WITH HARBOURING A FUGITIVE

Via BBC News Reggae singer Luciano has been charged with harbouring a fugitive who shot and wounded three police officers, Jamaican police have said. Police Superintendent McArthur Sutherland said the 44-year-old – real name Jepther McClymont – was charged and released after posting bail. The stand-off last week ended with the fugitive gunman, Andrew Senior, being  killed at Luciano’s home in Kingston. Two of the injured officers are still being treated in hospital. Oh dear….smh….

JAMAICA BANS SEXUALLY EXPLICIT LYRICS AND VIOLENT MUSIC FROM ISLAND’S AIRWAVES

In Japan, Jamaican Reggae/Dancehall music is HUGE!!!! And if you don’t believe me then just watch this. The footage below was filmed at an event that took place last year, in Osaka Japan. I remember back in the 90s when it was thought that if  the Reggae art form wanted to achieve international success/popularity (Like Rap/Hip Hop has) then it’s artists had to make the move to America and then sign to  major labels. Label executives (who knew nothing about the genre/culture) would then team up reggae artists with Hip Hop/R&B acts and attempt to water down []

UK NEWS: METROPOLITIAN POLICE BLASTED FOR ALLOWING REGGAE STAR BOUNTY KILLER TO PERFORM IN LONDON

GAY rights activists have accused the Metropolitian police of supporting homophobia by allowing Jamaican reggae star Bounty Killer to perform in London. Bounty Killer, real name Rodney Pryce, has been allowed by the Met Police to play at the Stratford Rex on Saturday, even though some of his songs call for gay people to be murdered.
