Via BBC News Two cinema chains say, on police advice, they will not show a film about gang culture made in Birmingham. 1DAY follows the violent life of two inner city gangs and was filmed in the Handsworth area, starring local people. War Song is the first video clip taken from the up and coming film 1 Day, which is set on the ‘mean’ streets of Birmingham. 1 Day will be released in cinemas on the November 6th 2009. However I am guessing that this film will only be released in “select” cinemas… but I could be wrong.
