LYOR COHEN LEAVING THE WARNER MUSIC GROUP?

Rumour has it that Chairman/CEO of the Warner Music Group Lyor Cohen, is about to desert the sinking ship. This wouldn’t come as a big surprise if true, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Kevin Liles follows his lead and they both end up back at Def Jam.

Photograph: Peter Macdairmid/Getty Mohamed Al Fayed branded Prince Philip (Queen Elizabeth’s husband) a “Nazi” and a “racist” in the high court today as he detailed his belief that his son Dodi and Diana, Princess of Wales, were “murdered” in a conspiracy initiated by the royal family and carried out with the involvement of Tony Blair, the security services and others. QUOTE OF THE DAY: L.A RIED

“We’ll have to see.” (Sohh.com) L.A’s response when asked if Nas’ controversial forthcoming album ‘Nigger’ will appear in stores with that title. A simple yes or no would have sufficed L.A….. (rolling eyes..). He doesn’t have a damn clue. I bet the album’s pushed back and they retitle it ‘The N- Word’.

They have her singing material more suitable for the likes of Rihanna, Ciara and Ashanti. However from what I’ve heard so far the album doesn’t sound bad, there are some catchy tunes, but I don’t think it has the potential to bring her back to the forefront of the music scene.

AUDIO: NEW NAS INTERVIEW (FOXXHOLE RADIO) / ‘NIGGER’ TO DROP APRIL 22ND…

Nas talks about his music, The Grammys and his eagerly anticipated forthcoming album ‘Nigger’. Nas also reveals that the album will drop on April 22nd. LISTEN I’m glad they asked him to elaborate on the comments he made at The Grammys, with regards to the US Voting Rights Act. I am stunned……….. President Bush recently signed a document EXTENDING an African American’s right to vote, which effectively means that right could be taken away when the extension comes up for renewal again! If they decide not to renew it then that’s a black man’s/woman’s []
