HIP-HOP: A CULTURAL ODYSSEY BOOK LONDON LAUNCH VIDEO

With music supplied by BBC Radio 1’s Reggie Yates going back to back with Manny Norte, acclaimed producer/DJ Hudson Mohawke, female DJ and scratch wizz Kayper and BBC 1Xtra’s Semtex, Red Bull Studios played host to a fun and exuberant book launch in true Hip-Hop bling fashion.  Adjacent to the main party was a gallery space exhibiting 30 key images from Hip-Hop: A Cultural Odyssey’s expansive pages.

Yesterday The Sunday Mirror reported that Amy Winehouse was in the process of adopting a 10 year-old St Lucian girl. The singer met Dannika Augustine in 2009 during a trip to St Lucia and according to the girl’s grandmother Marjorie Lambert, Amy was in the process of adopting her granddaughter just before she died.  Click HERE to read all about it. According to The Sunday Mirror  singer Amy Winehouse was in the process of  ‘adopting’ a 10-year-old St Lucian girl before she died suddenly last Saturday. The troubled singer had started the process of becoming a mum to 10-year-old Dannika Augustine, who she met on the idyllic Caribbean island. Amy had booked her ticket to visit the schoolgirl next week. Just a month after launching their new sitcom independently online and receiving widespread media attention, the BBC has quickly arranged to meet the producers of Meet the Adebanjo’s to discuss picking it up for season 2.
