UK NEWS: PEOPLE TAKE TO THE STREETS TO CELEBRATE MARGARET THATCHER’S DEATH

After it was announced yesterday that former prime minister Baroness Margaret Thatcher had died her critics took to the streets in celebration across the country.  In Brixton, Glasgow and Leeds people opened champagne and cheered, shouting: “Maggie, Maggie, Maggie, dead, dead, dead”. The celebrations continued in to the early hours of this morning and police struggled to disperse the crowds that gathered. (Interestingly enough I did not see any black people celebrating Thatcher’s death outside The Ritzy in Brixton). Yesterday The Daily Telegraph closed their online comment section because of the abuse aimed at Thatcher and []

FORMER PRIME MINISTER MARGARET THATCHER DIES

The BBC reports that former prime minister Baroness Thatcher has died. She was 87 years old. Her spokesman Lord Bell issued the following statement: “It is with great sadness that Mark and Carol Thatcher announced that their mother Baroness Thatcher died peacefully following a stroke this morning.” Thatcher was Conservative prime minister from 1979 to 1990. She was the first woman to hold the post. I have always found her strangely fascinating. She was as hard as nails. I look forward to watching the up []

VIDEO: VOCAL POWERHOUSE KIM MAZELLE AUDITIONS ON THE VOICE UK

When vocal powerhouse and House music legend Kim Mazelle appeared on The Voice UK last night I just could not believe what I was seeing. I am still shaking my head in disbelief. Why Kym why??? It was just so awkward and I got the distinct impression that Kym was a little taken back when she announced her name and none of the judges knew who she was (look at []

UK NEWS: MOTHER AND FATHER FOUND GUILTY OF KILLING THEIR CHILDREN IN BOTCHED ARSON PLOT

Via The Daily Mail Mick and Mairead Philpott were today found  guilty of killing six of their children in a house fire in Derby as part of a  botched attempt to frame his former lover. The couple were convicted of the manslaughter  of their ‘babies’ after a seven-week trial where Mick Philpott repeatedly sobbed  in the dock, collapsing when the prosecution accused him of planning the fire  that ended in tragedy. But the jury refused to accept his excuse  that someone had started the []
