The BBC reports that former prime minister Baroness Thatcher has died. She was 87 years old.

Her spokesman Lord Bell issued the following statement:

“It is with great sadness that Mark and Carol Thatcher announced that their
mother Baroness Thatcher died peacefully following a stroke this morning.”

Thatcher was Conservative prime minister from 1979 to 1990. She was the first woman to hold the post.

I have always found her strangely fascinating. She was as hard as nails. I look forward to watching the up and coming documentaries about her life and rise to power.

Rest In Peace Margaret Thatcher.

  1. I have to agree with you Janice, she was as hard as nails and more balls and more direct than the rest of Prime Ministers since. But i can also see why a lot will forever see her as the devil.
I hope in the next month or so we will be able to see some really good meaty pros and cons of what she had done and also her legacy rather than another fluffy Hollywood type film…..and i cannot lie, i am also waiting for some more confidential documents of the past that they were probably holding from the public until she dies. 🙂

  2. George Galloway’s comment: “Tramp the dirt down” – the image of George compacting the dirt above her grave by stamping it down with his feet… wow! lol!

  3. Margaret Thatcher hated women and showed us that we can only achieve by hating women and being as sociopathic as any sociopathic male leader. She was even ambiguous about her own daughter. She had no imagination, hated anything yellow, brown or black and hated non rich whites. She went about wrecking whole communities that have not recovered up to this day. I don’t dislike men enough to want a woman to show up herself by being an unimaginative bitch just to give us a veneer of equality. Let the men continue doing that as I do not think that another female Prime Minister will be elected in my lifetime, due to Thatcher . She just did the stuff that the tory males wanted to do, but had the wisdom NOT to do. As Maggie was VERY vain and deluded, she just did her male cabinet’s bidding, until they turfed her out. That’s how thick she was. Power, as proven so many times does not necessarily equate with supreme intelligence. More time, unfortunately, it equates to vanity. If she was intelligent instead of vain, she would have been nimble minded enough to know that the same ones who always say “yes’ to you are the same ones who will shoob you when THEIR turn comes. Let’s be grateful that she wasn’t wicked AND intelligent. I do not think Janice would be writing this blog from Great Britain, same as I do not think that there would be any “need” for the BNP……….

  4. well they have been having death celebration parties across the country. I just remember her as causing riots poll tax anyone? and now you david cameron doing the same as her except no one will call him iron anything

  5. Sparkle Said it!!

i’m aghast that women are holding this bitch up as beacon of light, or someone who promoted feminism and is to be revered. She was a sanctimonious heifer!
