Radio Today reports that DJ Jigs has joined Internet radio station Mi-Soul. He will host the weekday late show. Jigs said, “I’m delighted to be able to call Mi-Soul Radio my new home, and I’m really looking forward to being able to play the music I love on air.” After Global Radio officially “rebranded” Choice FM and turned it in to Capital Xtra Jigs resigned the following day after 24 years service. Several weeks ago Channel 4 and production company Acme brought viewers the documentary ‘My Crazy New Jamaican Life’, in honour of ‘Black History Month’. ‘My Crazy New Jamaican Life’ (which was originally going to called ‘Yardie Wives’) focused on two English women,Debbie and Holly who ‘are each immersed in or passionate about Jamaican culture, from X-rated bashment styles to food, patois or having a family with a Jamaican-born man’. It has been announced that former Choice FM DJ Natty B has joined Internet radio station Mi-Soul. As of Saturday 9th November, Natty will broadcast ‘The Official Reggae Chart Show’ every week from 9-11pm. Global Radio who owned Choice FM (now Capital Xtra) axed the DJ last month after 13 years service. Congratulations on the new show Natty.
