Def Jam Executive Vice President, Shakir Stewart was found dead today (November 1), AllHipHop.com has learned. While details are being confirmed, sources stated that Shakir’s body was found about an hour ago. Stewart replaced Jay-Z’s position at Island Def Jam and was named Executive Vice President of Def Jam Recordings in June of 2008. Updates will be posted as this story develops. Two men have appeared in a US court accused of making threats to kill Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, federal agents say. Paul Schlesselman and Daniel Cowart were also charged with possessing an unregistered firearm and conspiracy to steal from a licensed gun dealer. Miners in Lesotho have discovered a huge gem stone which may become the largest ever polished diamond. The stone weighs 478 carats and is the 20th largest rough diamond ever found, said Gem Diamonds. The company said the uncut rock was recovered recently from the Letseng mine, owned by the company in Lesotho.
