Digital Spy reports that producer/artist Pharrell Williams will deliver a keynote speech at the MidemNet conference in Cannes, France. Williams will discuss the music industry and it’s future, which at this very point in time isn’t looking too bright! I wonder if he plans on writing the speech himself……

Via BBC News Jonathan Ross has announced he is leaving the BBC, after 13 years working for the corporation. Ross, 49, who is one of the BBC’s highest paid stars, said in a statement he had decided not to renegotiate his contract when it ends in July. Anyway the singer picked up the Breakthrough Performance award for her role as a social worker in the film, at the Palm Springs International Film Festival last night (January 5th). Peckham meets Atlanta folks! UK rapper Giggs teams up with Atlanta based artist B.O.B and has produced the new track Don’t Go There. The label (XL) is really pushing the ‘Giggs machine’ in 2010! Collaborating with US artists and his album Let Em Have It is apparently set to drop in April. It’s all go! I look forward to watching the MOBO Awards performance and hearing the speech……. Via Chicago Breaking News A disabled woman was found covered in excrement and chained to a weight bench in what Wisconsin authorities said Tuesday was one of the most disturbing abuse cases they had ever encountered. Via Rhymes With Snitch Lil Wayne will play the voice of Jesus Christ in an animated special on the Cartoon Network. ‘The Return of Freaknik’, based on the infamous Atlanta HBCU spring break picnic of the same name, stars Lil Wayne as Christ and T-Pain as the Spirit of Freaknik.
