The UK Film council reports that highly anticipated “URBAN” films ‘SKET’ and ‘Demons Never Die’ pulled in the following figures (October 28th weekend gross). ‘Demons Never Die’ opened in 121 cinemas and has grossed £29,464 to date. ‘SKET’ opened in 66 cinemas and has grossed £70,299 to date. Actor Ashley Walters has revealed to The Telegraph that he has co-written a script with fellow actor and director Noel Clarke. Walters describes it as being, A UK version of Bad Boys. We’re playing cops, we’re trying to make police glamorous over here, trying to give an advert to the Met.” Well this should be interesting. With a decent storyline and a talented fresh supporting cast of actor/actresses (not the same old faces) this could be a success. I hope they manage to get the project off the ground.
