SOPRANOS STAR JAMES GANDOLFINI DIES

Actor James Gandolfini has died of a suspected heart attack. He was 51 years old. Gandolfini suffered a possible heart attack while on holiday in Rome, the US HBO TV network told the BBC. HBO also said the star of The Sopranos, which ran for six series on the cable channel from 1999-2007, would be “deeply missed”. The  man was a brilliant actor and I was a huge Sopranos fan. Rest In Peace James Gandolfini.

DOLCE AND GABBANA SENTENCED TO JAIL FOR TAX EVASION

Oh dear… oh dear…. well I didn’t see this coming. Via BBC News Italian fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have been sentenced to jail in Italy for one year and eight months for tax evasion. They were accused of hiding millions of euros from Italian tax authorities. The pair, whose customers have included Madonna, Kate Moss and Kylie Minogue, were not at the trial, deny the charges and have appealed. Comedian Russell Brand appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe yesterday, to talk about his controversial world comedy tour Messiah Complex. The mighty Shawn Carter aka Jay-Z aka J-Hova aka Hov aka elder statesmen aka just plain annoying has teamed up with the even mightier Samsung.  The rapper’s 12th album will be available to Samsung Galaxy users 72 hours before its official release on July 4th.
