Black Britain: The Chrystal Rose Show (1993 -1997)

Chrystal Rose is a former model and British TV personality, who hosted “The Chrystal Rose Show” from 1993 to 1997 on Carlton TV (now ITV 1).

Inspired by Oprah Winfrey, Chrystal financed her own TV pilots using her bank overdraft facility and sold her car, television and video recorder.

Carlton TV later went on to commission “The Chrystal Rose Show”. She also hosted “Chrystal’s Style Guide” for two years, a programme which explored the fashion industry.

Chrystal is a published author and in 1996 released her first novel, “What a Bitch’. She has also written the book, ‘How To Make A Film With No Money’, which follows her progress from novel to the big screen.

‘You Can’t Hurry Love’ – a film script that she has written, will go into production March 2019.

Chrystal currently owns and runs a successful promotion and events company.
