BBC Radio 1Xtra has announced the launch of the new show ‘1Xtra Talks’, presented by Reece Parkinson.
1Xtra Talks will tell the stories of young people from across the UK – from women who spend their cash on cosmetic surgery to look like Kim Kardashian, to hard-hitting stories from young people who have experienced stigma through growing up in care. Presenter Reece Parkinson, who has previously sat in for Mim Shaikh to present 1Xtra’s Weekend Breakfast Show, will be joined on 1Xtra Talks by different guests each week to discuss these stories and tackle difficult questions about young people and the society they live in.
Reece Parkinson said:
“It’s really cool to be offered the show after coming through the ranks as an intern last year. I’m glad to be bringing a new generation of listeners through to 1Xtra.”
‘1Xtra Talks’ will air on Sundays from 9-10pm.
