The BBC reports that a teenager has died in the custody of police after being detained by security staff at a shopping centre, in Liverpool.
Mzee Mohammed, 18, was seen with a knife “behaving erratically” at Liverpool One before officers were called to the scene.
His mother Karla told the Liverpool Echo her son was a “gentle giant” and she believed police and security staff had “questions to answer”.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is investigating.
According to reports, Mzee became ‘unwell’ after being detained by security staff and the police. His mother Karla says he had no pre-existing medical conditions and has demanded to know what had caused Mzee to die when he had left her Liverpool home fit and healthy yesterday lunchtime.
“I believe that the police and security staff have questions to answer.”
“You don’t bury your kids, not your 18-year-old lad. I want to know what happened to my boy – I just want to see my son.”

The IPCC will do what they always do – NOTHING!
This poor family has a long fight ahead of them.
Rest In Peace Mzee Mohammed.
