Founder of the Brixton Soup Kitchen, Solomon Smith, has been awarded an Honorary Masters Degree for his continued brilliant work in the community.
🎓🎓 Proud to say our founder @Solomonsmithbsk has been awarded a Master Degree 🎓🎓 Solomon found it difficult learning and reading from the age of 5 he always though learning wasn't for him, He left school will no #GCSE his highest level grades was a Zs & Fs and he thought he couldn't be anything in life….. He decided to leave education and never look back 🙈🙈 All his friends told him to go to University what he thought was a crazy idea but he done it anyway were he left with 2•1 despite being severely #Dyslexic Now he Runs his charity for the homeless and achieved so many awards. Yesterday he was told that he now will receive a Honorary Master Degree for the work he has done for the community Solomon what's to encourage everyone that has Dyslexia that you will still make it and everyone with #Dyslexia is very special and they need to unlock it #MasterDegree #Dyslexic #Community #Homeless #Charity #SoupKitchen
Smith founded the Brixton Soup Kitchen in January 2013, a grassroots organisation that helps homeless people and Londoners in need.
So far over 10,000 meals have been served to those in need.
The organisation also offers CV workshops, job guidance and advice on housing and benefits.
