Local charity Brixton Soup Kitchen have teamed up with Giveacar to raise £15,000 to buy a heated vehicle to provide hot food and vital necessities to those that need it most across London.
Giveacar is a not-for-profit social enterprise that turns unwanted cars into cash donations for UK charities. Teaming up with Brixton Soup Kitchen to try and raise £15,000 to buy an outreach van will enable them to travel across London to key homeless spots. This will help them provide hot food and vital necessities such as clothing and blankets to the many thousands of homeless people across London.
Solomon Smith of Brixton Soup Kitchen, recent star of ITV’s ‘BBQ Champ’ said:
‘We can proudly announce that we are officially working in partnership with Giveacar; Brixton Soup Kitchen, working together, togetherness makes the dream work.’
The appeal, launched on 9th October will continue until the full target has been raised. Giveacar will be keeping supporters and donors up-to-date through the website www.giveacar.co.uk and both organisation’s social media.
