Demonstrators (myself included) protested outside of the Nigerian High Commission today (May 4) in London, calling for the return of hundreds of school girls who were abducted by the terrorist group Boko Haram on April 16.
The Nigerian government’s reaction to the mass abduction has been unbelievably poor and as far as I am concerned the country’s president Goodluck Jonathan, along with his cronies should at some point be thrown out of office.
If it was not for the power of social media and protests currently taking place around the world this terrible incident would have just been swept under the carpet and left to fester.
I hope the protests and outrage around the world helps to make a difference and those girls are found soon.
