I really wanted to see Prince perform live in London several weeks ago but it just seemed as if the only ones privy to the following information – dates, venue details and times were ‘industry folk’, annoying famous faces and their hangers-on.

I almost lost it when I saw photographs on The Daily Mail website of Kate Moss and Rita Ora (to name but a few) attending his show at Ronnie Scotts. It just looked as if only the well connected and famous were invited to the gig.

Are any of these people real Prince fans? Have they been riding with Prince since the Purple Rain days or Diamonds & Pearls era? Do they know any of the songs from this man’s extensive back catalogue? (yeah I’m looking at you Rita Ora).  Or did these fools just turn up to be seen?

It just felt like that on this occasion his real fans missed out.
