British actor and rapper Arnold Oceng aka Snakey Man has landed a lead role in the up and coming Hollywood film ‘The Good Lie’.  The film will also star Reese Witherspoon.

‘The Good Lie’ (based on true life events) follows a young refugee of the Sudanese Civil War who wins a lottery for relocation to the United States with three other lost boys. They develop an unlikely friendship with a brash American woman (Witherspoon) assigned to help them, but the young man struggles to adjust to his new life and his feelings of guilt about the brother he left behind. Oceng starred in the BBC Children’s drama Grange Hill and later went on to appear in the Noel Clarke film Adulthood and Channel 4 drama Top Boy.

Another one bites the dust. This news makes me smile. There soon won’t be any black British actors left in the UK.
