…
The new breed of UK rapper love to talk about “stacking P” (I am guessing that’s Pound Sterling) and seem desperate to show the world ( in particular America) that ‘yeah London is the new Compton fam’ (hahaha). I find this all highly amusing.
The Track – Where I’m From isn’t bad and the producer did a relatively decent job.
The Video – The director should have also shot footage of the amount of dog mess that can be seen on London’s streets. That would have helped to make my city look even more realistic.
Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?
I like the track, but it’s highly forgettable. I feel the problem in England is, when you do a track like this you alienate the reason of the England and the world, which means less sales. Americans can do tracks like New York because the place is huge, alot of people round the world who like Hiphop want to be from New York and also, the people living in New York will support the record, in London I’m not so sure.
