… The new breed of UK rapper love to talk about “stacking P” (I am guessing that’s Pound Sterling) and seem desperate to show the world ( in particular America) that ‘yeah London is the new Compton fam’ (hahaha). I find this all highly amusing. The Track – Where I’m From isn’t bad and the producer did a relatively decent job. The Video – The director should have also shot footage of the amount of dog mess that can be seen on London’s streets. That would have helped […]
X-Factor 2010 finalist Cher Lloyd has teamed up with Mic Righteous, Dot Rotten and Ghetts on her new single Dub On The Track. I remember watching annoying Miss Lloyd on the X-factor and saying that as soon as the show was over her label would look to team her up with a “TEAM UK” act and look folks they managed to find three artists willing to collaborate with her. All I can do is laugh. I just hope Dot, Righteous and Ghetts each received enough money to buy a car and to pay […]
The single Takeover featuring Shystie, Ghetts and Nolay is taken from the SKET soundtrack. … I have got a lot of time for Shystie and Nolay. I like their flows and the energy. Takeover isn’t bad at all. Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?
There are a group of young comedians who have created a single called Ultimate Otis and made an amusing video spoof alongside it which pokes fun at “TEAM UK” artists (Click HERE to watch). Poking fun at Team UK is never a bad thing as far as I am concerned. They take themselves far to seriously and work hard to pass off blatant mediocrity as the best thing since sliced bread. Anyway in the video one comedian mimics rapper Ghetts, and in response to the video Ghetts claims he thought it was funny and […]
Before I clicked on play I just thought that On A Level, the new single from Ghetts, would be the same old mediocrity that I have come to expect from the UK’s rap/grime “elite”, but I was pleasantly surprised. On A Level sounds pretty good and not what I was expecting from Ghetts. The video – Weird and different. ………. Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?
UK MUSIC: THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY Ghetts (formally known as ‘Ghetto’) features on this single a long side Griminal. ‘Don’t Phone Me’ makes me laugh and the sound of Ghetts voice takes some getting used to….. The production isn’t bad…..hmmmmm…. well I’ve heard worse……… I wouldn’t say this is good, and I wouldn’t say it’s bad or ugly. It’s just a funny track that I would describe as being… so so…. The 11 – 16 year old demographic will love this! Your thoughts […]
