UK NEWS: GIRL JAILED FOR 10 YEARS FOR KILLING 16 YEAR OLD WITH A COMB

Convicted of murder: Rebecca Douglas

Via The Independent

A 16-year-old girl has been given a life sentence for killing a teenager with an pintail comb.

Rebecca Douglas, who was 15 at the time, spiked 16-year-old Julie Sheriff’s head with the pointed metal handle.

Douglas, who had been sleeping rough at friends’ houses, was ordered to serve a minimum of 10 years after being convicted of murder last month.

The Old Bailey heard that the pintail comb had been taken out of Julie’s red weave hair before being used as a lethal weapon in the attack in Battersea, south London, in May last year.

Julie, of Hackney, east London, never recovered from the swelling and bleeding it caused to her brain and died almost five months later, in September. Continue Reading…..

Victim: Julie Sheriff

Rebecca Douglas killed Julie Sheriff over gossip involving boys. Rebecca believed that Julie had been spreading gossip about her having sex with different boys.

She confronted Julie outside a betting shop and said “What do you think you are doing in Clapham?” before going on to stab Julie in the shoulder and head.

What a horrible way to die.

Not only has Rebecca taken a life in a blind rage over petty gossip, she has also ruined Julie’s family’s lives and her own pathetic life.

Before this tragic incident a clearly disturbed Rebecca was sleeping rough at friend’s houses (where were her parents???). Now she has been given a home at Her Majesty’s Pleasure for the next 10 years.

Rest In Peace Julie Sheriff.

  1. But, what is not this? If this story was not true I would say the words “ratchet” and “lie”. Firstly, why are these girls (yes, girls) so caught up in man argument? Secondly, where are the parents of Rebecca Douglas? I feel sorry for the family of the dead girl, nobody needs to die like this. However, them nowadays girls are too careless and too entangled in man argument or the capabilities of their front. Look how this phenomenon has come to bump.
The elephant in the room has to be why Rebecca Douglas was not under the care of the Social Services. Where, or who were her guardians? Sometimes, I feel like crying how low we have fallen after we gained our so called equality. It’s like we have let the devil himself run amok within our fractured “community” all for pound, shilling and pence.

  2. Very sad indeed. To have such anger and lack of fear of consequences at such a young age. I listen to young girls arguing almost daily over men and idiotic gossip that is the highlight of their lives at that age but to resort to this? I wonder if they performed a mental evaluation on this young girl.
