I knew this would go in Levi’s favour. I bet he is celebrating at home now with a plate of jerk chicken dripping in Reggae Reggae Sauce.

A Brixton cafe owner has lost his High Court fight to be recognised as the creator of the recipe for a sauce made famous by a Dragons’ Den contestant.
Anthony Bailey claimed Levi Roots, the singer who made Reggae Reggae Jerk/BBQ Sauce a success, had derived the sauce from his “unique and secret recipe”.
However, Judge Mark Pelling QC dismissed Mr Bailey’s claims for breach of contract and breach of confidence.
The judge questioned whether the recipe was “ever secret”. Continue Reading…
Lawyers said they estimated the legal battle had cost more than £1m in total and the judge said Mr Roots was entitled to have his costs paid.
*Looks over at Tony Bailey*

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn, £1,000,000 plus????????? But the trial just started the other day and it finished so quick. Somebody pass Anthony Bailey some industrial strength vaseline as from here on out, he is going to get rinsed out clean.
Well Levi wont give up his council place apparently so let us see if he pays the cost as a gesture of goodwill. it wont bruk him
Anyway you see it Levi Roots lied to the public and to the world. Children in schools looked up to this person and saw him as an icon. Young people in college thought “if he can do this, so can we”. We dont want him back in our schools to speak and lie to our vulnerable children. I am not sure if I will ever buy any of his products again.
I used to look up to Levi and so did my sons, but now that he has been exposed, they see him in a different light.
No Jan, Levi did not lie. The judge found that Levi’s evidence to the court was all true. Bailey’s “dishonest case, dishonestly pursued” (the judges’ words), in the hope that Levi would “buy him off” to stop the matter going to court, was unsuccessful. All credit to Levi for standing up for what is right/
