Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Levi Roots is being sued for more than £300,000 by a former friend who claims he is the real inventor of the Reggae Reggae Sauce, a court heard today.
Jamaican-born Tony Bailey, 52, claims it was his jerk chicken recipe Mr Roots took on Dragons’ Den in 2007, winning a £50,000 investment from Peter Jones and Richard Farleigh.
Mr Roots told the Dragons on the show the jerk sauce recipe was his grandmother’s and had been handed down to him. Continue Reading….

Don’t know what really went down, but I kind of suspect that Tony Bailey probably knew that Levi was trying to market “a sauce”. He probably never dreamt it would ever become this big, and also was just happy with his restaurant business and didn’t want the extra hassle/legwork. So he let Levi get on with it. That’s a lot of assumptions I know (lol) but I bet there is an element of truth in there somewhere.

It seems like Levi roots has two sauce one from his grand mother and one which he has created….. so which one is the real reggae reggae sauce? liar
Levi has changed his story the sauce is not created by his grandmother anymore he knows who is the real creator of the sauce and it is Tony Bailey, Levi remember the autobiography book that you wrote people are not fooled anymore you thief and a liar.
Erm, why is Tony Bailey’s attire to court being ignored?! On that basis alone, he’ll lose his case …any clown.
