The BBC reports that football club QPR will look in to claims that Chelsea star/England captain John Terry racially abused fellow player Anton Ferdinand during the Chelsea v QPR game yesterday.
QPR officials will meet Ferdinand on Tuesday (24 October) and decide whether to proceed with a formal complaint.
There was online footage showing Terry “allegedly” calling Ferdinand a “f**king black c**t”, but the FA (Football Association) instructed its minions to ensure that all footage was removed.
Terry said in a statement,
I’ve seen that there’s a lot of comments on the internet with regards to some video footage of me in today’s game.
“I’m disappointed that people have leapt to the wrong conclusions about the context of what I was seen to be saying to Anton Ferdinand. I thought Anton was
accusing me of using a racist slur against him. I responded aggressively, saying
that I never used that term.”Terry added that Ferdinand had made no complaint and said the two remained on good terms.
“I have known Anton for a long time and spoke to him about it after the game and there was no problem between us,” the England captain added.
“I congratulated him on their win. He has not accused me of any wrongful remark. It was clear it was all a misunderstanding at the time.
This won’t go any further. Anton will face QPR management tomorrow and insist that ‘it was nothing’, that he isn’t willing to take it any further and he ‘just wants to play football’. A typical black British footballer response when it comes to racism within the sport. They are scared and refuse to confront the issue. So I say good luck to the fools.

i mean you cant hear the words!!! so how has this even blown up to that point?
can you hear the words?
You have to watch the footage. You can’t hear the words but we can read his lips. Also Anton apparently heard him say it. But it will soon blow over.
Janice, do you mean to tell me that the footballers over there are too scared to speak up about racism?? Why? I mean if you don’t confront this head on….i will just get worst. I don’t understand why some people would let some say what the hell they want to them. It makes no sense to me. If someone would make those kinds of remarks to me he would get punched in the mouth. But i would for sure go public…. Sad! Black people just don’t get it!! Stop being a sucker and stand up for what it right. So this happens a lot?? Well with the footballers…
It been going on for years. Loads happens behind the scenes. They shy away from confronting it to make life easier for themselves I guess
He said it, of course he did…just becasue Anton doesn’t have a problem with it, it makes it alright does it Mr Terry – whatever. A misunderstanding? You either said it or you didn’t. For me though this is what lets football down. You have all these campaigns to stomp out racism, hooliganism etc. but the most racist or violent thugs are the players themselves, so how can you try and educate everyone around the sport if you don’t start at the root….. KMT. Silva from Man City I believe was accused the other week for a racist slur but so long as they deny it, it means it never happened, because of course if they had done it they would hold their hands up and admit it!
Some (usually non-British) Black footballers are not afraid to speak up, like Patrice Evra:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15343686.stm
But as there is no video footage circulating of Suarez verbally abusing Evra (as far as I know) it will be hard to prove. Suarez denies it with the full backing of his club. Alex Ferguson hangs Evra out to dry with his reluctant, non-backing.
Anton Ferdinand could have buried this situation one way or the other. His silence speaks volumes.
the met police are “assessing” the incident after receiving a complaint from the public http://news.sky.com/home/article/16095688
Oh dear.. Hahahaha
I just read about the incident last year with Ledley King when John called him a “lippy black monkey”. How in the HELL did he get away with that???
Oh wait.. sorry silly question.
