From the moment it was officially announced that Cheryl Cole’s backside had been fired from X-Factor USA, the media and her PR team of flying monkeys have been working overtime to ensure that we don’t forget that the fraud exists.

Over the past few weeks there have been countless stories leaked to the press stating that jobless Chezza is now going to (conveniently) reunite with her millionaire footballer former husband Ashley Cole, pictures of her 28th birthday party, headlines screaming that Ashley was in attendance, photographs and column inches dedicated to her dry new hairstyle, news that she plans on remarrying Ashley, and licky licky showbiz reporter Dan Wootton using his Twitter account to hype up Cheryl at any given opportunity.

Then came the stories about Ashley ‘desperately wanting to clean up his image’, him going in to the restaurant business with the Jay-Z, talk of helping troubled youngsters, donating profits to various charites, and now up pops this interview where he reveals that ‘he has made mistakes” (marrying the convicted batterer of a toilet attendent should be one of them) amongst other things.

Up until this point Ashley has remained silent, so I was surprised to see this interview. I wonder if as well as jumping back in to bed with Cheryl, he has also jumped in to bed with Cheryl’s PR team.
