Humanitarian Awards
Steve Harvey

Right so Rihanna wins Best R&B artist? I always considered her a Pop artist.

Congratulations Idris Elba for winning Best Actor and Marsha Ambrosius for winning a Centric Award (whatever that is).

And Steve Harvey is this years Humanitarian Award winner. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Really BET??? What has Steve done to warrant such an accolade? What exactly has he done for humanity???

They just hand out these types of awards to any old Tom, Dick and Harry these days. I think I will put my name in the hat next year just to see if I get lucky.

  1. how does lara izibor always seem to get into the category without us knowing a damn thing about her over in the uk?.. i am baffled i been noticing this for a while she must have good management!!

  2. She had a single of the week on iTunes, a while back…give me a sec…**checks iTunes**… May 2009!
Why am I not surprised by the Smiths’ tie? Geez, imagine the beef if only a Smith won? 😀

  3. I’ve been hearing about Laura Izibor for years now, I remember reading an interview with her in Trace Magazine, but I’ve never heard any of her music lol

  4. To me Rick Ross should’ve have won best male hiphop artists as well, if Rhianna was white she wouldn’t be classed as R&B

  5. I think this award is a joke (or became one), anyway,

Half of the people there haven’t had a single/ album or a relevant movie for ages.

And don’t get started on Steve harvey humanatarian “work”,

It’s writting crappy books about Women and specially Black ones makes of you an “Humanatarian”.

  6. Centric is a Black TV network in the US. I’m assuming owned by whoever owns BET. Maybe it was a viewers vote or something.

Steve Harvey’s award is a joke! Humanitarian to what? Dishing out dumb advice to Black women?

  7. Yes Centric is a BLACK TV network here in the US. And it is owned by BET. And from what I understand it was voted on by the viewers. But we seem to really love Marsha… She is on everything over there and she is very well received. Now as for ya”ll boy Steve Harvey lol! I just didn’t get why he deserved anything… What has he really done other than that boy’s camp he has every year. I guess for me I have no respect for a Black man that dogs out a sister and takes her kid away from her. And cheats as well….just me. Oh Laura Izibor has done some other music here and she was in some play that she wrote music for. So I’m guessing that is why she was nominated. And yeah 2009 is correct!!!
