There were reports circulating the Internet yesterday stating that comedian Richard Blackwood who plays Donkey in Shrek The Musical, had been fired. But Richard has now finally set the record straight via Twitter.

well I was there last night – he was dreadful in the first half. There was a very long interval, nearly forty minutes and then an announcement which simply said “the part of ?Donkey will be played by Delroy Anderson” – who was superb
