The Daily Star reports that former Hollyoaks and Strictly Come Dancing star Ricky Whittle has signed a major deal and has moved to Hollywood.

The actor who is apparently now living in a ‘luxurious home in the Hollywood Hills’ told the newspaper,

“I’ve just signed a massive deal. I’m desperate to tell [everyone] about it but it’s top secret.”

I think Ricky should have kept this news to himself. So many British actors/actresses have made the mistake of blabbing to the tabloid press, telling them that they are moving to Hollywood, and talk of “projects” and “meetings” that they have lined up over there.

But in less than a year they creep back in to Britain and pop up months later  on our TV screens in some sad reality show vehicle. Or worse… end up agreeing to host a live TV seance while a so-called psychic attempts to contact Michael Jackson from beyond the grave.

I hope this doesn’t happen to Ricky and I wish him the best of luck.
