If you are looking to follow the Most High God, the irony is that you are safer outside of the church than in one. God is not in these churches, he never was.
His reputation is DONE. Whether he’s found innocent or not, the damage is done.
He may not be done… people worship that man… They still don’t believe he did it. Well some of them don’t… Most of the people i talk to who live in Atlanta says he is guilty. My sister use to go to his church….says it was too phony for her and left. What’s sad is…the fact that those boys who are now men…will never get past this. It will live in them for ever… Trust is an important thing…when you trust….you give your all. I’m talking about as a youngster… Just sad…
I can imagine. People invest so much in these church leaders. The next best thing that will have come out of this whole saga is that atleast it will create some awareness. Whether people take heed, that is another story. This kind of thing happened in my home country, but you know Africa and justice, anyway, one of the boys who had apparently been sexually abused reported it, and in the midst of all the chaos, the victim ended up being in jail on suspected fraud of a passport, but from what i heard, he had been set up by the pastor and his people. It is just the whole manipulation, but how they manage to completely brainwash folks in such a way that they actually believe that having sex with these pastors is somehow cosigned with God/Jesus, is beyond me. And they don’t prey on stable people either for sex,(they know their congregation too well) they prey on the vulnerable.
