Ian Wright was last night sacked from Channel 5 after refusing to promote the broadcaster’s shows.
The former Arsenal player, 46, was axed from his nightly show, Live at Studio 5, after a row with executives when he refused to promote the channel’s ailing talent show Don’t Stop Believing.
A friend of the veteran sportsman – who has been capped 33 times for England – said: ‘Ian is not a puppet. Don’t Stop Believing has lost nearly a million viewers and he was told to come on air and say how great the show was, but he refused.’ Continue Reading…..
Ha ha ha ha!
I don’t blame Ian. Why lie? Don’t Stop Believing is absolute rubbish. The ‘inspiration’ behind this ‘talent show’ is obviously Glee, but it’s still crashing and burning.
Good! Don’t Stop Believing is nothing but lazy and uninspiring television that deserves to drop out of the ratings.
As for Live at Studio 5, it’s not a bad show. I will miss Ian.

That sucks.
Oh well, atleast he has his head screwed on tight. ooops..
What a shame!! I will miss his ‘Nah man, I don’t agree, I think it’s wrong’ comments that he uttered so often with no back up.
I watched one show of dont stop believing. not watched anymore since. typical british t.always trying to copy and doing so badly. the whole pop idol/xfactor thing although British is even done better abroad. never mind
Uhhmmm…. is that a contract violation? Why does he have to co-sign rubbish? Why didn’t they make the Becky’s do it? It would seem more realistic seeing that they are talentless and they can’t dance anyway… so to them that show is great and they could pull off a: “The show is fabulous!” with a wink and a smile… Ian is a thug! He would have sounded like a fairy!! So good for him! I am sure he will host something a lot better soon! That Channel 5 needs to get a clue… smdh
I didn’t watch Live At Studio 5 that much, but when I did, I always thought Ian Wright wasn’t quite the complete TV presenter. Not for this format. He just seemed to be there because he is Ian Wright than because he is a competent TV host. He didn’t seem to take his role seriously enough and just talk to the sake of saying something.
